NBA, NFL, or the Sopranos?

NBA OR NFL?

36 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
71, repeat 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 currently are defendants in lawsuits, and
84 have been arrested for drunk driving in
the last year
Can you guess which organization this is?
It's the 535 members of the United
States Congress.

Given the numbers which still match up (sometimes with slightly different descriptions) to this old Capitol Hill Blue article critiqued by snopes.com, and given the fact that it's *missing* some key crimes by Tom DeLay, William Jefferson, Duke Cunningham, and others, I'd say this is NOT an accurate accounting of the current Congress.

Probably Jim is right. However the level of corruption in the Congress is far from acceptable. Thanks, Jim.

You just can't rely on Victor , can you?

We can surely rely on you, Steven. You've never retracted anything you have said since I encountered you on ukrc, to the best of my knowledge.

Those horrible old men. It is a shame that our representatives handle themselves no better than inmates. Nice stats! Also, I really enjoy reading your blog. It is extremely entertaining. I am adding you to my blogroll. And, I would really appreciate it if you would add me to yours.
