I didn't follow how Tʰ was supposed to be simpler — Universeʰ is simpler (on a bean-counting kind of simplicity) because it doesn't have particle U, but Theoryʰ by definition can surely count only theoretical particles.
I'd say a better argument against excessive shaving is to note that the world is less like a game of golf and more like a work of art — too little of anything is as defective as too much. (And Pruss has made such arguments too.)
