Interesting stuff. Does Tim believe in full literary independence of the Gospels? That's the implication I get (and I don't think it's plausible), but I could be wrong.
I am the author of C. S. Lewis's Dangerous Idea: In Defense of the Argument from Reason, published by Inter-Varsity Press. I received a Ph.D in philosophy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1989.

No, not full literary independence, but neither do I subscribe to the idea that all comparison must be forced into the mold of redaction criticism.
