People often told me I was wrong to advocate for life when I had never been sick.
Now after one bout with cancer, I still advocate for life.
I listened to a wonderful interview with one of the main people involved in the palliative care movement here in Canada. He was eloquent and nicely rebutted all the arguments by the right to die people.
After being present with many dying people I know this. They are looking for someone to walk the journey with them for as long as they are still here. I have never had one speak to me about wanting someone to kill them. What they wanted was someone to be with them.
