This is a blog to discuss philosophy, chess, politics, C. S. Lewis, or whatever it is that I'm in the mood to discuss.
The historians, at least the ones I have read, seem to consider that Balfour was really just a dilettanté. I found this page because I am an admirer of Balfour - if for nothing else for his elegant wit, viz: "Part of what the honourable gentleman said was tru and part of what he said was trite. Unfortunately, that which was not trite was not true.A witticism such as that indicates to me a superior mind!
Apologies for the typos, I have a malfunctioning keyboard. "True"
