Is Trumpism a heresy?

Here.

Someone needs to explain to that halfwit that Trump didn't run for Pope, but for President, of (hold on to your hats!) America, the United States of. It's a political position, and the office-holder's job is to put his country politically first. This isn't difficult.

In all seriousness, if any country could ever (rationally) claim to be especially favored by the Almighty, it would have been the Holy Roman Empire. It at least had the bona fides and pedigree to back up and justify such an assertion. But the HRE is sadly missing from the current map, so we no longer have recourse to that position.

The only country in today's world that has any case at all that could stand up in court to being "God's Favored Nation" is Poland. Enshrined in its constitution is the fact that Our Blessed Mother is the Queen of Poland, and Our Lord is its King.

Not coincidentally, they're also one of the nations where both state and church are united in saying they don't want muslim immigration. Think they could have swung that constitutional amendment with an immigrant populace on the order of France's?

As for the OP, I didn't hear the Christian left talking about this when Obama was being hailed as a Lightbringer by absolute rubes.

Speaking of rubes, the only response to the article is 'America First means helping out our own poor and starving before we move on to saving the world, not replacing Christ with America, you half-wits!'

Funny to have this hand-wringing about 'America First' coming hot on the heels of the article where Victor talks about being animated to support the political left for his own benefit. Was Victor 'putting himself before Christ' there? I say no - he was just making a mistake, in all too common ways. But I'm coming around to the idea that any kind of civility towards the identifiably left is a mistake, because it's never reciprocated.

Something for me to ponder.

most of his reasons for saying we are not great are stupid and untrue, The reasons why we aren't first anymore he totally ignores. We are not first (or "great") in education for example. They don't even talk about that. They just work on destroying public education.

Like his constant idiotic refrain about how we are not safe because want to let a few hundred widows and orphanages in.
