Rate Your Morality

Most people think that they are more moral people than the average. But half of us are below average, right?

Does being moral simply mean being good? I think instead that it means following rules. A particular morality is a set of rules. If your morality is good, it's good for you to follow it, but it's also possible to be good while breaking rules.

Hitler's followers were bad because they obeyed him. German dissidents were good even though they were immoral in the framework of Nazi "morality." What do you say?

I read somewhere that something like 90% of college professors think they are better teachers than 90% of their colleagues. DOH!
