A Christian defense of libertarianism

I find it hard not to be a Christian anarchist. Any time you vote you are holding a gun to the head of everyone who disagrees with you and demanding they play ball. Governments are entities that use violence to make people do what they want them to do, checking their violence with popular opinion does not make me feel any better about it.

Terrible Comment!

The opposite of good government is not no government - it is bad government. If you like no government, check out Somalia.

Matt writes: "Governments are entities that use violence to make people do what they want them to do". A half-truth, at best. Anarchy is also an environment wherein the strong use violence to make others do what they want them to do. And if its a choice of the United States government telling me what to do or a gang of unaccountable strongmen criminals ordering me around (and that's really the only choice given to you), I'll take the US government any day.
