It's deja vu all over again
It's the Giants and the Patriots in the Super Bowl this time. I think we've seen this one before. Different result this time?
Not such a good day for the Harbaughs.

Ugly win by the Pats yesterday. Hopefully Brady is better in the SB than he was yesterday, or it will be a looong day.

It's like United vs. Barcelona for the rest of the known universe.

Watched the Ravens/Patriots game at an airport sports bar yesterday, waiting to board my plane to Baltimore. It was a quiet, sullen 3-hour flight from Denver to Baltimore. I wouldn't have wanted to be a flight attendant on that plane.

Denver and Baltimore. Wow, two cities not too happy with the Pats right now...
Good crowd reaction video from the stands.
Awesome tweet from Giants last night, aimed at the Jets:
Some teams are really happy getting to Conference Championship games, but #ImReallyGoodAt winning them!

While I'm a Packer fan, I think the Patriots really deserve to be where they are at. They had less to work with than nearly every other dominant team and yet they are Super-Bowl bound.

Giant's win. Therefore, God exists.

Is this baseball or American football?

American football. If it were baseball, then it would be, "The Orioles win. Therefore, God exists."

Without Gronkowski at 100%, this could get ugly. Let's hope Hernandez and Welker (and maybe Ochocinco lol) step up their games.

I like this video because you can literally see the reaction time differences in the crowd as they realize he missed it.

If the Patriots can establish a running game early, then I like their chances. If not, then I think the Giants' pass rush gives Brady too much to handle.

Bilbo: I think that is right, though would add that if the Patriots secondary can contain the Giants passing game some, that will be pretty key too.
But I think most people assume (with some justification) that the Patriots secondary won't be able to pull that off, so it isn't even mentioned. :)
Prediction: Patriots 24, Giants 23

I think the Patriots' defense is better than most people given them credit for. I expect a close game, but I won't predict the winner.

Well. While everyone else is getting set to watch the (yawn) superbowl, I'm headed out to observe Mars for a couple of hours. As St. Paul wrote, "Set your mind on things that are above, not on things that are on Earth."

It was a rather dull game. The Patriots stopped the Giants' pass rush most of the game. Brady was very good until he seemed to re-injure his shoulder. Sorry BDK. Perhaps we should have been watching Mars with Bob.
