Fascinating idea, but I find it initially implausible that Lewis would try to construct a series of children's books based on Medieval Astrology, and then never bother to tell anybody about it. But I'm curious enough to see if the book provides substantive evidence. --Bilbo

The more I think about it the more implausible Ward's thesis appears to be. The chronological order in which Lewis wrote the Narnia books is different than the chronology of Narnia, which leads one to believe that Lewis wrote them in a rather haphard fashion, with no deeper plan in mind.

Bilbo,
Most people are as skeptical as you before they read the book. Almost every person who has read it, however, has become generally convinced of it's thesis. I would encourage you to consider Ward's arguments before dismissing his thesis outright.
