Left and right on abortion

Left wing argument for outlawing abortion:

1. Fetuses are an oppressed class, like blacks, Hispanics, women, gays, and lesbians. They must be protected in the name of social justice (and Critical Birth Theory).

Right-wing argument for abortion choice:

If abortion is outlawed, then a lot of babies that would otherwise be aborted will be born under difficult economic circumstances. These will have to be cared for through an expanison of the social welfare system. It will motivate such socialist proposal as paid family leave. In order to protect capitalism, we mut affirm a woman's right to choose abortion.

So why are all the pro-lifers on the right, and all the pro-choicers on the left?

  1. OP,
    "Critical Birth Theory" Hilarious!!!

You should develop that, I am sure you will win a Pulitzer and be invited to all the talk shows, plus you you could get millions of people marching for the Reppertierian cause, all chanting

    !!BIRTH LIVES MATTER!!

It's the greatest pain and joy of life. A life worth living.

Why are all the pro-choice on the left?

    Affection toward death.

  4. Affectioh toward death? Why did so many leftists oppose the Iraq war? Why do they try to protect children from gun violence?

  5. Since WW2 opposition to war is easy. How is the left doing on sending our national wealth to the corrupt government of Ukraine to fight the corrupt government of Russian? The money and weapons we provide are for the purpose of death.

Children of gun violence v. children of abortion? Not even close.

I threw out a thought I know I don’t believe about the left. I don’t have any insight into the motivations, affections and prejudices of another person. It was a cheap shot, but was interested in the response.

  6. David Duffy,

The Russians want to exterminate the Ukrainians as a people. There will be much more death if we don't send the weapons.

There are no "children of abortion".

  7. bmiller,

Could you point out from the actual bill where it refers to 'minor attracted persons" in any any, as the article you linked claims it does? I mean, it seems to be comfortable for you to believe the lies in the article you linked, but they don't stand up to inspection.

  9. "The Russians want to exterminate the Ukrainians as a people"

The Russians under atheist Stalin wanted to exterminate them. Do you keep up with things? Now the lying Russians consider the lying Ukrainians as their own people. Hey, but whatever it takes to get the left to want to kill people.

Children are aborted in the millions.

  10. It seems to me that both Russians and Ukrainians will keep dying as long as the US opposes peace.

I guess sacrificing thousands of Ukrainian lives is a small price for Bolsheviks to pay. Some things never change.

  11. "...as long as the US opposes peace"

I'm with you Miller. How is President Doofus doing with negotiations? We will have to see how much Hunter gets paid before we know.

At least under Trump we got the Abraham Accord. With Doofus we got China brokering everything. But hey doofus is fighting for abortion.

It's Ukraine and Russia that are opposing peace (Russia wants to conquer, Ukraine doesn't want to be conquered).

I guess sacrificing thousands of Ukrainian lives is a small price for Bolsheviks to pay.

Russians are not Bolsheviks any more, but yes, they are eager to kill Ukrainians.

  13. One Brow,

When Russia invaded and annexed Ukrainian Crimea in 2014, the Obama administration did nothing but send out a few wimpy protests. Then when geriatric President Biden mumbled and stumbled his way into his inspirational presidency, we became concerned about Ukrainian sovereignty. I’m always interested in the perspective of the left on their change of national priorities.

  14. Wonder if the 1980s still want their foreign policy back.

  15. David Duffy,

Ukraine did not act to defend Crimea (this was prior to the revolution), so we didn't offer aid in the struggle they didn't have. Ukraine defended Kiev and the Donbas, so we're sending them aid.

  16. One Brow,

Why did Ukraine not defend it’s sovereignty under Russian aggression in Crimea?

Forgive me, which revolution are you referring to? There’s been a few in that neck of the woods.

  17. David Duffy,

Why are all the pro-choice on the left? Affection toward death.

Interesting. All this time I didn't know that my desire, along with 85% of the country, that abortion should be legal at least under certain circumstances is an affection toward death. And that my desire, along with something like 80% of the country, for common sense gun laws is also actually an affection toward death.

    Mmmmmm. Death.

  18. David Duffy,

The chaos of the Revolution of Dignity. Russia started the invasion less than a week after Yanukovych was voted out.

Forgive me, which revolution are you referring to? There’s been a few in that neck of the woods.

I had the timing mixed up. Russians invaded Crimea immediately after the revolution.

  19. Martin,

“All this time I didn’t know that my desire… is an affection toward death.”

Glad I was able to help clarify things for you.
