  1. I was intrigued by Lewis's mention in the review of one of my favorite books, Flatland, by Edwin Abbott. This 1884 novel about a 2-dimensional universe and its inhabitants' encounter with our own 3-dimensional world, as well as with those of the 1-dimensional (Lineland), and even zero-dimensional (Pointland) worlds, has held a place of honor on my bookshelf ever since I first read it sometime in the late 1960s. (I still have the very copy I bought way back then!)

It inspired me to google "Lewis Flatland", and was amazed at how much that slim book may have influenced Lewis's thought. See HERE.

    Jezu ufam tobie!
