Less Wrong on the McGrews' Essay

Luke, at Common Sense Atheism, thinks that the these criticisms of the McGrews' Essay are more substantial than those put forward by Carrier.

    I don't think he thinks that they *are* more substantial; rather, I think he hopes they'll be better than Carrier's.

    I got as far as the chap who thinks that the Gospels were written 100's of years after the event...why bother with this junk?

    What do you mean Mr. Veale? No one, as far as I can see, says that the gospels were written hundreds of years after the event.
