Elizabeth Anscombe was right. Causation does not involve determination, or necessity and we can directly observe causation.
Are you talking about her critique of Lewis, or her subsequent paper, "Causality and Determination?" (A personal favorite of mine).
Sorry that this isn't related to the post, but does anybody know where one could find that paper?
