John Loftus recently reviewed the latest ...Victor:<br /><br />John Loftus recently reviewed the latest edition of Beverluis's book in "Philosophy Now" (Issue 74 July/August 2009) and used exactly this quote after having written that "How Berverluis tackles Lewis' argument is probably best summed up by Christian philosopher Victor Reppert" - as if your quote shows that the problem of pain "debunks" Christianity. <br /><br />As Loftus doesn't even criticize the first edition - or show he understands the criticisms (instead he just quotes Beverluis own negative comments on those who criticized it as 'ferocious' and called it 'a response of extremes') - not to mention mention much specific arguments besides using your quote, it is hard to read it as more than a hagiographic review from a fan. <br /><br />In short, I think the review merits a response.Bjørn Arehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01491085976273836365noreply@blogger.com
